Laura Eisman brings to Compass her entrepreneurial prowess, having launched several successful companies in the fashion, internet, and cannabis fields. Her fearless navigation of these industries has been covered by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Ad Age, Entrepreneur, Forbes, WWD and People, and she was cited as one of 50 New Yorkers to watch by the Daily News. Laura’s achievements in these leading-edge endeavors are due to her savvy skills in business development, client relations, market positioning, sales, and trend forecasting. In addition, an education in architecture and decades of styling round out her attributes of value.

Laura is well known as co-founder of Her Highness, a luxury cannabis brand. She received earlier notoriety for founding pioneer fashion e-commerce site Girlshop.com with $5,000 of her own money, growing it into a $5 million business within a few years, spinning off 2 sister websites, a flagship store in NYC’s Meatpacking District, shopping tours, and authoring a book – The Girlshop Guide to NYC Shopping. Laura also co-founded Women’s Media Lab, an educational mentorship to help women launch and grow their businesses, served as Creative Director at iVillage, the earliest women’s online community, and was a Business Consultant at AOL where she re-launched StyleList.com to fame. 

Laura brought her first listing to Compass within 2 months of obtaining a NYS Real Estate License, and sold the house within 3 months. In reviving the history and significance of the house, she pitched it out to publications securing notable media coverage. Laura has an innate intuition for pairing people with the right opportunities. She has loyal relationships that run deep in NYC as well as in the local east-end community having summered for decades in the Hamptons and as a full-time East Hampton resident for the past 17 years; her daughters attended both Ross School and East Hampton High School.
